Jenny Guest House

Excellent comfortable stay for an affordable price in heart of Yellowknife.

Pros: Jenny Guest House is centrally located to restaurants and the supermarket. All within 5-7 minute walk. The space we had was a bedroom within a 2 bedroomed apartment. So a lovely shared lounge area with dining table and kitchen. Shared bathroom. It was super cold outside but toasty warm inside.

Cons: We couldn’t turn on the cold water in the shower but better that…than no hot water right! So the showers were a bit too hot and we dodged around to wash!

Home away from home

Pros: Ms. Jenny was a superb host. She was always ready to assist us and responded very quickly. The guesthouse is conveniently located in downtown and close to everything.

Pros: Friendly host, nice place, toasty, clean, within walking distance to most of Yellowknife (airport, the farthest thing you might consider walking to/from, is only ~1h20m away on foot), good value!

Pros: Jenny was very friendly and helpful. The full equipped kitchen provided convenience for the eat-in option. The location was great, close to everything in the town.

Will stay again! But wish there is a full suite with shower and bathroom.

Pros: Easy check in process. The host is very responsive and allowed us to check in a bit earlier and it's very appreciated. Friendly host. Great wi-fi connection and speed (we were able to streaming some movies smoothly!).

Cons: Some areas were dusty such as the top of the toilet tank (there's no hangers/hooks in the bathroom in our room, and I was about to put my clean towel on top of the toilet tank, and found it very dusty).

Pros: She is so nice and kindly. I ask lots of questions but she never felt upset. I'm so appiciate for her. The room was clean, not that warm (I understand because outside is under -30°) but I slept very calm and warm. There was no sound proof but it's okay too. Everyone went outside and came at the same time. Cus Eveyone came here to see aurora!

very nice place and host

Pros: She is a professional and VERY kind host. There was a small issue, but she resolved it quickly, and I was satisfied. Upon hearing that it was my birthday, she made noodles for dinner (eating noodles on one's birthday symbolizes longevity!). Although I am not very good at speaking English, she tried to communicate, and conversations with Jenny were always enjoyable. If I visit again, I would definitely stay there once more.

Homey, lovely, warm, comfortable

Pros: Everything was so good! A homey b&b that allows us to cook with mostly all the utensils you need. Clean and peaceful environment with a really nice host who makes you feel comfortable, care, and chitchat with you warmly :) The best b&b I’ve ever been to, and also the best host! Not surprised that all the tour guides and taxi drivers know Jenny’s Guest House after our stay here💗

Cons: honestly nothing, even the location is good!! can reach the centre square mall, grocery store, and restaurants, etc., within just minutes of walk

Pros: Jenny is a lovely person. She was available almost all the Time so whenever I'd write to her, she'd respond right away. Also she borrowed me snow boots for 20 bucks (for 3 nights) House has all the services and all you need

Cons: Only thing you should consider Is not cooking steaks or stuff that makes smoke. It Is not allowed. The reason: It Is Best not to do that cause The Windows are better If they are closed.

The warm welcome in Yellowknife

Pros: That was the most welcome I've ever felt in a guesthouse! The room was very nice and clean, it stayed cool during the hot days and warm during the colder ones, the bed was very soft and comfortable and the washroom was right next to the room. The best part of the stay was the hostess that made me feel very welcomed and cared for. She replied to all my messages within seconds and accommodated all the needs. Thank you so much!
