Gorgeous 4 Bedroom Garden Level Suite at Vancouver West & UBC

Great stay

Pros: The house was clean, well-equipped, spacious, and cozy – we truly felt at home. Close to the airport and the the city center as well - located in a lovely neighborhood, close to grocery store

Pros: Very friendly owners and super hospitable. Also very clean and all the little details have been thought of (detergent, salt and pepper, oil, dishwasher tablets, etc). The only disadvantage I can think of is that you can not walk to the center. For us no problem, because parking was very easy.

Pros: Friendly and clean, the best choice when you visiting this city.

Pros: Clean big rooms, space for all of us. Kitchen was well equipped and the beds were very comfy.

Pros: We greatly enjoyed our stay! The home was clean and recently renovated. It was in a good location with a nice and calm neighbourhood and the hosts were very attendant. The house also didn't truly feel like a basement and was spacious in the rooms.

Cons: As others said the home had a bit of a weird format, and we would've liked that the interior staircase to the upper floor have a lock from the inside of the unit. It would've given us some more peace of mind, but it didn't greatly affect the stay.

We can't wait for our next visit and hope to stay with Sandy and Henry again.

Pros: Our family of 5 enjoyed our time at Sandy & Henry's home. We walked around the beautiful and safe neighborhood using the hand drawn map in the dining room. Because most stores closed at 6pm, we spent our evenings playing board games (some supplied by the hosts), talking and laughing in the spacious living room/4th bedroom. Roomy bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen/dining room were all furnished and supplied with everything you need for your stay. Our kids, in their 20s, enjoyed the snacks and drink left by the hosts. They loved having their own bathrooms and being able to sleep in late. Sandy and Henry quickly responded to any questions we had. Could not have asked for better hosts.

Cons: I agree with previous reviewer about stairs to lower level and child noises, but none of that bothered us, either. The men in our group thought the beds were a little soft, but they slept great anyway. The women liked the mattresses and the soft and cozy bed coverings.

Pros: The place was beautifully furnished and newly renovated. The hosts provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay - coffee, tea, snacks and bottled water and all and cleaning supplies we needed for our stay. We parked on a side street (just three houses away) where parking was plentiful. The location is great - a 3 block walk to grocery, coffee shops and buses into the city. Also easy fast bus access to the university. We were all surprised how roomy the 4 bedrooms were.

Pros: We loved that the property was very clean considering we had young children getting into every nook and cranny. The beds were comfortable and there were enough bathrooms. Even though there wasn’t AC it was quite warm (high 70s) the weekend we were there and it stayed decently cool as the unit is a basement unit (still had windows). There were also individual standing fans in every room. The kitchen was fully equipped and the backyard was gorgeous and comfortable. It is very obvious that the hosts go the extra mile to provide a great experience for their guests.

Cons: There is no living area to hang out inside but it was worth it to us to have four proper bedrooms and enough space for everyone to sleep comfortably
