Nice, though quite expensive place (fees, for this location) to stay for a few nights
Pros: Kitchen is awesome! New double-side fridge! Many frying pans and bowls, cups... Tons of groceries (coffee, oil, sugar etc etc) pre-bought or left by the previous renters. Comfy living room. Bedroom is also nice! As for basement level everything looks very comfy.
Cons: $500 deposit (I'm not sure if it's already returned, btw, gotta check). High fees for no reason: Fees almost doubled the price of our stay. And it appeared $65 fee was for cleaning, though we found socks and underwear of a previous renter in the bedside table shelf. Maybe it's a standard in Edmonton, but it reminded me crazy cleaning fees in Austria and bed sheets fee on a South of France )) As house is a cardboard (wooden), there's almost no sound proofing and you can always hear loud steps of the permanent tenants above. Stairs to the room at the basement is quite harsh. There's no place on zero level to easily take a shoes off and leave on that rubber carpet. Stairs would be very hard for an old people, though we were all pretty young. Bottom door lacks of the same code-locker like we have on the outer door and ground-level tenants have a door leading to our internal stairs, though we had no super valuable items (except maybe 3 MacBook laptops), so it was not a problem for us. Another con it's there's no parking lots. You can park only on another side of the street (but sometimes it's occupied) and even if you got lucky to park there as the basement door in the middle side of the building, you should carry your luggage quite long distance and it's impossible to roll, cuzz you should go over the rocks and wooden pads in the end... Location was good for us (from/to Calgary), though for usual guys it's quite far, on the very edge. But if fees won't be that high, price would be great!
