Barney’s Lakeside Resort

We were very happy with our stay there.

Pros: Location was perfect for us to spend a night before going down the hill to Bella Coola. The view of the lake and the fact that the Pelicans nest there was very interesting!

Cons: The Smoke from the forest fire but there is no control over that.

We would stay again. Very peaceful. Thank you.

Pros: The owners are great people. They showed amazing hospitality and we enjoyed talking with them. The cabin was fantastic and it fit our needs. The resort was great.

Pros: Very nice cabin, well equipped, close to the shore.

Cons: Shower is outside the cabin, at few meters, shared with other guest. Not a big problem but it would be better having it inside.

We cannot wait to go back

Pros: Our cabin was super clean and ready when we arrived. Nice and quiet stay .

Cons: We liked it all. No cell service and wifi was spotty, some may say that this is a negative but for us it was a huge plus. Nothing we didn't like.

Pros: The grounds were fantastic. Wildlife abounds. Bears, fishing, waterfowl, etc. We weren't there to participate in those activities and had a tight schedule so maybe another time I'd enjoy those more.

Cons: Some odd electrical plug situations may be the norm for that region but just a little figuring, everything worked. The wifi was only accessible from the small lobby and a front cabin. Asked to not make phone calls.

We had a quiet, relaxing stay in beautiful surroundings and came home rejuvenated.

Pros: We knew the location was beautiful and it was. The grounds and facilities are very well maintained. The hostess is warm , friendly and accomodating. Cabins are very clean. I would stay again.

Cons: I have only two very small complaints, the toilet stalls in the shower cabin are too small, but the shower worked great. The other was flat pillows but I should always bring my own.

Pros: The location is perfectly located on the lake. You have various option to spend your time, fishing, hiking, boat riding, watching Pelicans and way more. The facility offers sport and playground equipment, if needed.

Pros: We had a great stay at Barney's at Puntzi lake. Hosts Shannon and Skip are very friendly and helpful. The cabin was clean and spacious and had everything we needed. The lake is great with pelicans and loons. The sunsets were stunning.

Genialer Ort, empfehlenswert - würden wieder buchen!

Pros: man hat ein Häuschen für sich, fast direkt am See (bei uns war aufgrund der umliegenden Waldbrände alles im Rauch = schlechte Sicht und unangenehme Luft), viele Möglichkeiten, draussen zu sitzen inkl am See, es ist ruhig, sauber, würden wieder buchen! Die Betten kuschelig weich und warm. Wir hatten Chalet 4 mit 2 Schlafräumen; d.h. aber, es gibt Wände, die jedoch nicht zum Dach reichen, somit ist oben offen und hat jmd Licht, haben alle Licht… das hat uns nicht gestört, da wir sowieso auf mussten am Morgen. Wären wir länger geblieben, was dort sicherlich super toll wäre, hätten wir sehr leise und vorsichtig den Morgenkaffee machen müssen, damit nicht alle wach sind. Alle waren äusserst freundlich. Wären die Brände nicht gewesen, wäre unser Aufenthalt entspannter gewesen. Wir können dennoch nur empfehlen, dort Halt zu machen.

Cons: Unser Sohn hätte gerne W-LAN gehabt, gibts aber nur im Raum beim Empfang. Für uns genial! Von dem her nichts, was uns nicht gefallen hat.
