Valhalla Inn

Pros: It was very clean, though older property and not really inviting from the outside, the room was very clean. New Denver is a fabulous little quite place. Glad I stayed there overnight.

Good stay

Pros: The room was very roomy and the fan came in useful . The beds were comfortable and shower worked well. staff were very helpful

Cons: There wasn’t t a microwave in the twin queen rooms otherwise great

Simple small town charm with a big heart

Pros: Tucked away on the side of the lake, on the way to somewhere. Just a step back in time, where the locals meet and sit under a giant tree to tell stories, and invite you to join the conversation. If you want luxury you miss the point, clean and safe from the storm, happy staff waiting to take care of you. Simple small town charm with a big heart

Cons: It could have been better if it was a brand new Hilton, guess what, its not that. Missing a pool and hot tub, or maybe that doesn't really matter either. Get out and see how the real word lives

Great value and awesome owners

Pros: The owners were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant on site was good too. Rooms were very large and bed was comfortable.

Cons: There did not seem to be air-conditioning although we had a fan in our room. Luckily it was not that hot.

Valhalla!

Pros: This stay is in a cute Inn a short walk from the beautiful rocky shoreline of Slocan Lake. It includes mountain views, a restaurant with an outdoor patio, and a pub. The staff were all very lovely and I was very happy I chose this spot as my stop over during my road trip. Thank you very much Valhalla and the small town of New Denver for being so welcoming.

Comfortable stay in an older motel

Pros: It is a comfortable old style motel . Nothing fancy but it is clean and comfy and the staff are lovely . Location is fine . It is not noisy at all . I did not hear the bar or squeaky floor boards. Previous reviewers here are way too harsh - bad day?

Cons: I didn’t mind the fact that it is quite old but others might . It did not impact our stay there. Pricey for what you get but not bad

Pros: Friendly staff, we had a bikerace in the morning and we asked for a later checkout so we could take a shower after the race. This Was no problem 😀. Very clean and comfortable beds. Very good Chinese restaurant of the same owner!

Cons: Nothing. Maybe the shower could be more high, it was a bit tight to stand underneath...

Pros: very clean actual window that opens with screen. restaurant was good nice to have one on site.

Such a heartwarming family business, i'd recommend the Valhalla to anyone.

Pros: Breakfast was just the way i would make it myself. The owners are wonderful, honest hardworking folks.

Cons: The exhaust fan in the bathroom of room 20 needs some TLC. The bearing is worn.

Valhalla Hotel

Pros: Good location. Chinese restaurant on site. No problems at check in.

Cons: Limited channels on TV.
