Wisteria Guest House

Magical stay at homely and beautiful guest house!

Pros: We had an incredibly memorable and pleasant stay at Wisteria Guest house whilst visiting Salt Spring Island. The host Len was extremely accommodating throughout our stay, and responded immediately to any queries we had. The property itself is beautiful, expertly decorated with stunning artwork and beautiful furniture. Free homemade cookies were an extra tasty bonus! The rooms are very clean and spacious, we even had a mini fridge. The guest house is about a 15 minute walk into town so it is best to have a car to explore more that the island has to offer. But does mean it is perfectly relaxing and quiet place to rest. Our only complaint was that our stay was so short! If we ever returns to salt spring island, we will absolutely be staying at Wisteria Guest House. Also Steve the cat is cute.

Pros: Location very handy. Quirky charm. Len very friendly host.

Cons: Kitchen area of studio was tight for space. Lack of a toaster in room wasn’t great given that no alternative for breakfast. Bit pricey compared with other similar accommodation.

Loved staying in the cottage at this gem of property.

Pros: Spotlessly clean and tasteful decor. Cottage had everything we needed. The communal area was quirky and tastefully designed, full of interesting artefacts, books, games and artworks.

Pros: That was the only thing that was missing! But the cookies,fruit beverages were all readily available

Pros: A very comfortable and restorative place to stay. Loved the cat... have been missing my own. Nice welcoming touch having the cookies and home grown fruit on offer along with tea and coffee making facilities in the spacious lounge. Thoughtful decor... homely but tasteful. Peaceful garden surroundings.

Cons: I didn't miss cooking facilities, but would have liked at least a toaster to be available. Nice to have tea and toast before setting out on the day's adventures.

Pros: Very clean Quiet location, very close to village centre The owner and his daughter were wonderful hosts Very relaxed atmosphere

Quaint accommodation with beautiful gardens

Pros: Beautifully furnished with antiques but also quirky. Very comfy bed. Lovely facilities & gardens. Short walk to town.

Pros: It had a unique, warm, and welcoming vibe. Loved the location, just off the beaten path, and was close enough to get to everything in a short walk. I enjoyed reading in the evenings in the main salon whilst cuddling with the cat (Steve).

Pros: Lovely room and lounge area (very stylish with lots of personal mementos, books etc. Ken gave us lots of tips on where to eat and visit on the island.

Cons: Shame there was no breakfast provided, only tea, coffee and cookies. A simple continental breakfast would have been appreciated, and easier than driving somewhere. We ended up buying bowls, cereals and milk.

Hosts, Len and Beverley, were lovely and place was made to feel like home

Pros: The communal lounge with free coffee was a nice touch. Comfy beds
