Pros: The place was very quiet, and I really liked the serene neighborhood. The home security system was reassuring, and the property owner was very responsive, addressing all my concerns promptly. l will recommend for travelers

Cons: The stovetop is reserved for the family, and I was aware of that since it’s clearly stated in the listing. However, I noticed some guests using it and wasn’t sure if that was due to a prior arrangement or special agreement

Pros: Bedroom is cozy and warm during winter season, Location suprisingly strategic with only bus number 10 to reach the downtown area.

Pros: The room was comfortable, and we had our own bathroom. There were keypad locks on every room, which made us feel safe. We really appreciated this, as the accommodation also has shared rooms and you don’t necessarily connect much with the other guests.

Cons: There is a large shared kitchen, which is very nice. However, guests are not allowed to use the stove, which makes the kitchen rather useless, as you can’t really cook anything (not even simple noodles with tomato sauce) without a stove or oven. I understand that the owners want to avoid damage, but this restriction could have been communicated more clearly in the booking details. The bedroom was quite warm, and unfortunately it wasn’t possible to reduce the heating. While this was fine for me, my friend found it difficult to sleep because of the heat.

Good quality room in shared residence

Pros: Very nice room with bathroom and access to shared kitchen facilities

Cons: Its a bit unclear what areas you can access. There is an implication of a family living there but i never saw anyone in 5 days

Pros: I stayed here with my sister. We came to visit Vancouver for the first time. We really liked the location of the house, we could walk the streets and enjoy the beautiful houses and views. It was a convenient location so we didn't have to drive anywhere for a long time and didn't pay a lot for a taxi. The house was clean and everything was for convenience. There was a small refrigerator in the room which was very useful. There was shampoo, soap and toilet paper in the bathroom and we didn't have to buy everything ourselves. The room and bathroom were clean. There were also dishes in the kitchen that we could use.

Cons: It was a bit unpleasant because some of the neighbor in the house often turned on the TV loudly and sang even after 10 pm when it was supposed to be quiet time according to the house rules.

I found this place to be a good place to stay, peaceful, and beautifully put together.

Pros: The room was super clean and put together beautifully. I appreciated the small fridge, coffee machine, and the quietness of the place. There were other guests in the living room area and they were polite. Overall, my stay was relaxing.

Cons: Going upstairs in the dark in the evening. I wasn't sure where the light switch was (on the lower floor) and walked upstairs in the dark. I had to pull out my phone for light to see the code to my door. In the morning I found the switch behind hanging jackets. I turned the light on but couldn't find a switch upstairs to turn it off. This is my only complaint.

Pros: Everything was great, the location is convenient, the house itself is well kept, the rooms are clean. It was a cozy and nice stay, it felt like home.

Cons: Minor issue really, but there is a gap between the door and the floor and there is light and sound coming through it. The locks also make noise and lock too quickly. If that could be adjusted it would be just perfect.

Location was good for our needs and the homes were lovely; the interior matched. We’d stay again.

Pros: Very lovely house. Beautiful kitchen; too bad we weren’t there long enough to make use of it. The common areas looked very plush and comfortable. Everything was very clean. Excellent security.

Cons: Comfy room but I had expected an ensuite (my fault, I think) whereas we had to use a common bathroom down the hall on the main level, and my daughter and I both had someone try the door while we were each prepping for a shower. The door could have opened fully because the lock was awkward at first but nothing so alarming happened. And our room was right at the front door so we heard everyone come and go and the beep of the door lock.

Very pleasant stay

Pros: Very comfortable room with great facilities like coffee maker & kettle for tea, fridge-freezer, nice bathroom, nice designs

Cons: It would be great to be able to buy water & cold drinks etc at the house. If you don't have a car it's a good half hour walk to the nearest supermarket, which is a bit annoying when you just arrived from a long trip...(Thank God it didn't rain at least when I arrived. Perhaps the hosts could inform about this & recommend the guests to make a stop at the shops before arriving at the hostel, just a thought

Pros: Beautiful house and neighborhood. Easy access to the downtown area by bus. Laundry, shampoo, towels, dishes, etc. are well provided. The owner is very kind and always responded quickly.
