HI Calgary City Centre - Hostel

Good value and very clean

Pros: Really good central location, very comfy beds and all nice and clean. I stayed in the female dorm, it was quiet and tidy. Big lockers to store your suitcase although if you want to lock it you should bring your own padlock.

Cons: Shower was basically a dribble of water, I was very thankful I didn't need to wash my hair. The water was nice and hot though and all other facilities worked perfectly, I'd just be reluctant to stay for more than a night or two.

Would recommend this hostel!

Great stay

Pros: Great rooms, big bathrooms, amazing kitchen and communal rooms, social hostel, great location.

Cons: Showers don’t lock, they are a frosted glass door and a curtain only. Suitcases don’t fit in the luggage lockers in rooms.

Pros: The Kitchen was nice. Enough space and equipment. Also the quiet-room for working was perfect. I really liked it.

Pros: The location is absolutely perfect. It is right in the city centre, within easy walking distance of the CTrain station and many of Calgary’s main sights, especially the Central Library and other downtown attractions. For this area, the price is very reasonable and the overall value for money is quite good. The hostel was also able to arrange the type of room I requested, which I really appreciated.

Cons: I stayed on the lower floor and could constantly hear very loud footsteps and creaking from the wooden floor above. If you are a light sleeper, I would be careful about choosing a downstairs room. The light bulb in my room also seemed a bit old and unreliable, sometimes not turning on properly. In addition, the bedding is quite thin and the set-up is not very comfortable – just a sheet underneath in direct contact with the skin and a light cover on top, rather than a proper duvet in a cover. The standard 4 pm check-in and 11 am check-out times are also relatively late/early, and although the hostel can sometimes be flexible if you ask, you still need to plan your schedule around this.

Pros: The Hostel is very spicy and span,and all services are working. Staffs are well cooperative,peaceful Environment and everything is good 👍 👌 👏 😊 🙌
