Vintage Merlot Bed and Breakfast

Pros: Charming and attentive hosts. Excellent breakfast.

Debbie and Walter made us feel at home, and helped to make out vacation special.

Pros: Hosts Debbie and Walter were a wealth of information to us, as we toured thevwineries in the area.

Very nice accommodation for our visit to Area 27.

Pros: This was a very good place to stay for our visit to Area 27 Motorsports Park in Oliver, BC. It was less than ten minutes to the track. A public swim area at the nearby lake was just a few minutes walk away. Our hosts were very friendly and provided lots of history of the town and made good recommendations on places to eat. They made breakfast according to our schedule and the food was excellent.

Cons: We chose to stay in the bedroom with the queen bed and the ensuite half-bath. This worked well for us during our three night stay. Unfortunately, the weather was exceptionally hot during our stay with temperatures of 100 degrees F or more and this bedroom is exposed to the sun and received the least air flow from the air conditioning system. This made the room warmer than optimal. Had weather been near average this would not have been an issue.

Clean and comfortable

Pros: Debbie and Walter welcomed us into their home. The breakfast was amazing, and Debbie catered to our needs and time constraints. It was pleasant to eat with Debbie and Walter, and we enjoyed our conversation and getting to know them. The bed was comfortable, the shower was great, and everything was clean. The location was perfect for our needs. We would stay again.

Cons: Unfortunately, though no fault of their own, the heat pump broke down at the start of the long weekend! But they did everything they could to keep us comfortable. Sadly, these things happen, but they made every effort to cool down in our room.

The Vintage Merlot is a warm and inviting B&B in Oliver and I would recommend it to travellers.

Pros: The breakfasts were elaborate and delicious. The hosts kept us company for breakfast and were wonderful in their hospitality. We left their home with two new friends.

Cons: There was nothing that could be improved.

Pros: The host family is very friendly. We like the home made breakfast so much, nutritious and delicious!

Relaxing

Pros: Very accommodating hosts that go out of their way to make sure your stay is comfortable. The bed was huge and comfy, and the breakfast was tasty and hearty! Excellent location— close to lake, beach and wineries!

Pros: The host family is amiable and guides us to local attractions. Very caring. We would love to stay with them again.

Pros: The hosts were so kind and accommodating! Could not recommend this stay more!

So great that we will be returning and hopefully stay at Vintage Merlot

Pros: The host were knowledgeable, friendly and caring. Breakfasts were fabulous. By end of our stay we felt like family.

Cons: We didn’t like that we had to leave.
