Clean, comfy, and excellent location
Pros: the front desk staff was very kind and helpful and the location was amazing right on the water and close to all of the resturants and bars
Cons: the bathroom was clean but old, the tub could use an update

Pros: Location is great; owners were wonderful, very good communication skills with tired Travellers; pets are accepted.
Cons: The hotel is right on Lakeshore Drive which is great location beside the lake, but the corner unit where I was the street noise was an issue including muscle cars'engine revving until midnight on a rainy evening. Plus, the corner unit has the stairs down and noisy children ran up and down the stairs up to 10 pm, and then in the unit above me until 11pm, but that's the parent's fault not the owners.

Retro and relaxing and right on the lake
Pros: Great value for money. It's retro and relaxing and right on the lake! The owners are amazing, and very present. They are there to check you in and walk you through all the elements of the motel. It was perfect for our one night stay to take in the Open Water race. The location can't be beat. It's a classic old motel, but very, very, very clean.
Cons: It's an old building, so we could hear people coming and going above us. Nothing terrible though.

Sylvan Lake's Best Location
Pros: Right across from the Main Beach, nice Lake View, easy to find, restaurants and pubs withing walking distance, More Moo Ice-cream only 2 doors down, good Donair place right beside it, amazing owners.
Cons: It's a party town, so of course there are drunks walking the streets at 2 a.m., but nothing the Motel could do about it. That's the price you pay for a good price and awesome location.

Pros: Been here couple times& loved always my stay just across the beach so its a bonus…The owner is nice and accommodating…They allow us to park my vehicle at their premises even we already check out which makes us more happy for we just stay at the beach to relax before we head home…we had a nice stay….always come back here yearly and always book here in Racoon…

Good day at the Raccoon
Pros: Tierney is the manager and was extremely gracious and welcoming. We'd stay there again just because of him. Room was clean and comfortable. Beautiful spot, right on the water. Amazing sunsets and easy walk to restaurants and beach.
Cons: Loud part of town as it's right on the strip and right on the beach.

Would stay here again for the location and the price. I would recommend!
Pros: The location is excellent, the staff treated us very well and went out of their way to accommodate our needs. I felt like a valued guest by the owners! My questions were answered right away. I like that family suites are available for families with kids who no longer share beds! Everything was very clean.
Cons: The decor needs some upgrading, but we knew that from the pictures so it wasn't a deterrent.

Best possible location, friendly staff, and clean.
Pros: The best possible location. The owners were very friendly and the rooms were clean. It is an older property and everything is worn and dated but you cant beat the location. Was a great place to stay with our dog.
Cons: It felt a bit dark and dingy and brighter paint would make it feel more inviting.
