Hoo-Doo Motel

Clean, comfortable and basic accomodation.

Pros: This is a huge improvement from other similarly priced accomodations in Drumheller. Basic accomodation. The bed was comfortable. There was a table and chairs to do paperwork and eat nicely. The appliances all worked. Most importantly it was CLEAN!! This is an older building exceptionally maintained. Pride of ownership is evident. The motel is located near all amenities by foot or a short drive.

Cons: The wifi was variable. I had a room at the other end of the building so connection needs to improve. As a single person, the price could improve, This ,however ,is the standard and rooms are overpriced everywhere since the covid hysteria.

Good value

Pros: The room was bigger and spacious. Clean and quiet.

Cons: No hair dryer, the fridge wasn't plugged in. No tea. And the Wi-Fi was really slow.

Little get away

Pros: The staff were so nice and even had chairs outside for our 3 room family could hang out and relax

Cons: The beds were a little too firm for our family

Quiet and peaceful

Pros: We’ve stayed in many hotels this trip and this is the only one which has the vanity outside the bathroom which is so much better for 2 or more people! 🙏

Pros: Cute and retro little spot if you're passing through. Close to restaurants. Staff was friendly and kind. Room was very clean, and warm. All amenities were in good shape, the shower most importantly was hot. The room had tea, coffee, a kettle, fridge and miceowave which was a nice touch. We felt comfortable. Easy check in and out. The motel is about a 10 minute drive from the Dinosaur Museum.

Good value for your money in Drumheller!

Pros: Very kind satff and a confortable room. Good value for your money. Good location, with restaurants, bars and liquor stores nearby. Ando a strategic location to visit the attractions in the region (museum, Horseshoe canyon and the other points on interest in the valley).

Cons: Bear in mind that the place is a little dated (but is very well maintained, and quite charming). The heating system is a little noisy, but nothing that will ruin your night.

Excellent!

Pros: Central location and staff was helpful and friendly. They helped merged 2 separate bookings by letting me keep same room so I did not have to move out and into another room of different size.

Pros: It was a very quiet location and easy to find in Drumhellar.

Cons: There was no problem with anything at the Motel.

So much better than anticipated and we will stay here again.

Pros: So clean, so happy! I'm always uneasy when booking older motels, especially if there are negative posts of any kind. I booked this motel because there was basically nothing else available in town. When we arrived, the couple at the front desk were so lovely and friendly while checking us in (even tho we got there much later than expected). They gave us a literal key to the room and what a pleasant surprise when we opened that door. Despite the dated decor (felt like stepping onto a retro movie set), the room was spotless and the bedding pristine. This is all we ever really want in a room for our family... well, that and a fridge, which is what we had as well. We highly recommend Hoo-Doo Motel and will definitely be staying here again.

Cons: Internet was cutting out a lot. We couldn't keep a connection. Not enough towels (3 towels for 4 people) had to go to front desk next day for more. The two shampoo packets supplied are only enough for one wash each of short hair. I'm not a fan of instant coffee, which is the coffee provided in the room (office had fresh coffee in the mornings if you preferred).
