SureStay Hotel by Best Western Castlegar

Pros: Clean, breakfast people did a great job of bringing fresh items & cleaning. It was quiet. Lovely gentlemen at front desk was kind & lent me a kettle for tea in my room.

Cons: No elevator, i was on 2nd floor, had lots of stuff with me & it was a bit of a struggle carrying everything up. That being said the gentleman at the front did offer to assist me. But next time I'd book the ground floor.

Pros: Staff was super friendly and helpful. Facility was clean and in a great location.

Cons: Bathrooms are old and could use updating.

We would stay there again.

We were very travel weary when we arrived late evening & checked out early the next morniing.

Pros: Breakfast was good overall. I just wish there were items that were gluten-free & dairy-free. However, I am used to not finding that so always bring my own. My hubby enjoyed the breakfast. Good selection.

Cons: Unfortunately, our bathroom sink was not draining. We were offered another room, but really wanted to stay on the ground foor so the fellow at the desk brought a plunger. When that was used, some horrible brown sludge came up. We left the sink as it was because it still would not drain & used the bar sink by the coffee pot instead. In the very early morning, I heard the people upstairs get up & when they used the bathroom I heard a gurgling in our bathroom. That happened twice & when I checked, our sink had backed up again & was full of more sludge. I was told by the front dest that they were on it - just waiting for maintenance. Other than the offer of a different room, I felt that perhaps a discount on the room might have been a nice gesture. However, on check-in, we received the king room for the same price we were paying for the 2-bed room.

It was a real highlight on our roadtrip.

Pros: Easy check-in (and a free room upgrade). A very decent breakfast was included (incl. lactose free options and organic coffee). The room was great, clean and with very comfortable beds, great bathroom/shower facilities.

Cons: No elevator and the balcony was a little small/dirty, but overall a great stay.

I’d definitely would endorse a stay here.

Pros: The location was perfect, and made dog walking very enjoyable. Breakfast was good as well. A very nice visit.

Cons: My only negative was a lack of wall plugs. All else was great.

Not as good as it should be.

Pros: First impressions were good. We got a room on the ground floor, as requested. The bed was comfortable and the kitchenette was good.

Cons: While the room was clean the laundry room was filthy. The worst shower we had in 7 weeks in Canada. And we had continuing problems with the electronic lock.

Spacious rooms for a short stay .

Pros: Lovey large rooms with all the facilities. Good breakfast included.

Cons: Not many restaurants nearby but can drive to town
