Pros: Food was amazing!!! We ordered and picked up both supper… then breakfast the next day at the cute restaurant on site. My dog was with so we ate in at the little cottage table. They even threw in an adorable bottle of complementary wine!!! The stay here was just awesome!

Pros: We stayed in the studio cabin, overall we liked the presentation of the room. The property was well maintained. The cabins are situated directly adjacent to the Johnston Canyon trail so it was easy to do the trail and come right back to the cabin.

Cons: There was not much privacy between our studio room and the one-bedroom room. There is only one restaurant on-site so options to eat were limited.

Beautiful woodland location, very expensive

Pros: Loved the location in the woods, cute little fire, very comfy bed and was great you could park your car outside

Cons: As with everywhere in Banff it was very expensive otherwise would have stayed longer

Peaceful stay

Pros: Very cozy cabins with a lovely terrace, peacefully located in the forest. We felt very comfortable and would love to come back anytime.

Cons: Suggestion for improvement: It would be nice if guests of the lodges could receive a discount at the Blackswift Bistro.

Pros: I love that it's so close to hiking trails and has a bistro on location. The staff were friendly and accommodating for our family (including our 2 dogs). Would highly recommend! They even gave us an upgraded cabin!

Highly recommended, also for longer stays

Pros: - Location between Banff and Lake Louise - Great in-house restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner, delicious food, friendly staff - Large living room with cool bear-themed couch table and fireplace - Parking space near cabin

Cons: - No closet in the cabin for clothes, just a hanger - Small bathroom with almost no space for own things - Johnston Canyon is nice stroll, but nothing special/spectacular (own opinion)
