Pros: The location of this guesthouse is excellent—just a five-minute walk to the SkyTrain station, which is extremely convenient. Although the building and room are quite old (which is very common in this area with many century-old houses), the room itself is very clean and tidy. The toiletries were also clean and well prepared. Considering the affordable price, the age of the room is completely acceptable. Overall, it’s a great value for money. The host, Linda, is very warm and welcoming. There are also free Vancouver city maps available for guests to take.

excellent service, landlord is very nice

Pros: This room, although a bit dated in its facilities, is very clean and tidy. The host is kind and helpful, even offering to store my luggage. Considering its location close to the city center, it’s one of the best-value rooms you can find. I’d definitely stay here again.

Pros: The property is located in a quiet, leafy residential street within walking distance to shops, restaurants and transport. Our top-floor room overlooking the street was large and sunny with a very comfy bed and good shower. With a very early arrival into Vancouver, we also appreciated being able to leave our luggage in the office, located in the adjacent property, until check-in.

Pros: The location of this place is excellent — right next to the SkyTrain station and very close to City Hall and downtown. There are plenty of great restaurants nearby. Since it’s an older building, the vintage furniture is understandable and actually adds to the charm of the place. Considering the price and the convenient location, this is a great value for money. I would definitely stay here again.

Step back in time

Pros: Loved that it was an old condo built 100 years ago. The historian in me was giddy. I had the opportunity to step back in time for two nights, with the comfort of a modern bathroom.

Cons: We blew a breaker, the plugs in the night light shorted out.

Pros: This is a charming century-old building, and the photos match the actual place perfectly. The antique furniture is truly valuable, adding character to the home. The rooms are very spacious and bright, and the location is excellent. If this were a newly built property, it would never be this affordable. There’s no noticeable odor or anything unpleasant—overall, a very satisfying place to stay.

Good value for the money

Pros: If you like a fancy stay in Vancouver, you can stop reading now. But if you like to spend your money on see and do things instead this should be an option for you. This is good value for the money. Great location, descent rooms, good bed and a very friendly manager. We stayed 4 plus 3 nights and where very pleased with everything.
