Kananaskis Mountain Lodge

Very good hotel complex near nakiska ski area

Pros: Very good facilities, food options were good, particularly liked Woodys pub.

Cons: Dogs!! There were dogs everywhere. Little ones yapping in rooms when I was trying to relax or sleep; big ones in lounge areas, even on seats. I don't want to sit somewhere a dog has been sitting on. Plus, what about people allergic to dogs - and the hygiene aspect. I've not stayed in a good hotel like this that allows dogs as a matter of course. Getting here without a car was nigh on impossible (thank goodness for the new Flixbus route from calgary airport - although the timetable was a bit limited)

Pros: The amazing view out the window. The table and two big comfy chairs in the corner. Underground parking.

Cons: The air conditioner/ heater was quite loud.

Fabulous hotel right next to the Nordic Spa.

Pros: Huge room with very comfy beds. Staff very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Lots of options to eat and drink in the hotel. The Nordic Spa was right next to the hotel.

Cons: Nothing.

Comfortable K country stay

Pros: Located just off the highway 40. Great access to K Country. Yes we did see a grizzly bear. The design of the hotel is pretty uninspiring but it's clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly. We enjoyed the bar area and restaurants. All the food is well cooked and priced competitively. The swimming pool and hot tub is excellent. A third party operate the Nordic Spa site next door at a cost of $155.

Cons: This is not an actual village. There is nothing else in the area. Construction work is currently underway. Avoid low number rooms if you don't want to be woken up each morning with the Trash being emptied.

Gorgeous stay in Kananaskis

Pros: What a wonderful stay! We got upgraded on check in to the Black Diamond Club area/room and it was fantastic. Food was great; rooms are so cosy and comfortable. Surrounding area stunning

Cons: Very loud air condition in room , for such a location the view from the bedroom window was very disappointing

Pros: Upgraded to the Black Diamond club. Free breakfast, snacks, appetizers and desert daily at different times. It was amazing!!

Excellent

Pros: Rooms were spacious with good facilities. Resort had really good amenities.

Cons: Food options could be better at restaurants. Focus more on serving quality food at the buffet in Forte.

Pros: Love the whole village vibe and all dining experiences.

Cons: Check-in experience could be more welcoming The size of the towels provided are for miniature humans

Stunning venue for a large family for a magic New Year's Eve

Pros: The hot tub that leads outside was amazing particularly at night in the dark with lights. The kids pool was also excellent ....and well used! The foyer has a lot of games that were used by a lot of families and it is a great spot to sit in front of a lovely fire. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The activities for New Year's Eve were also great fun. It was also lovely being able to have a dog at the hotel and there were a lot of dogs but they were all well behaved and beautiful.

Cons: Cannot think of anything.
