Alpine Meadows Lodge

Located on 150 acres, this Golden, British Columbia property is nestled in the forests and boasts lake and mountain views from the dining room, patio, balcony and some rooms. The lodge is located at the base of the Kicking Horse Mountain Resort ski hill which also features mountain biking trails and hiking trails. Golden's city centre is 6km away, which is a 10 minutes drive by car while Golden Golf Club is 5km away. Located in the heart of 6 National Parks, iconic landmarks like Emerald Lake, Lake Louise, Banff, Yoho National Park, hot springs are within a 45minutes to 1.5 hours drive away. Each room in the lodge has an attached private bathroom with toiletries and towels. A continental breakfast is provided for guests staying in rooms within the main lodge. Geared towards relaxation, there is no television in the bedrooms but a TV, some card/board games and mini library and fireplace is available in the communal area. The wooden lodge is a 3-storey building. Only 1 bedroom (which has 1 queen bed and a sofa) is available on the ground floor. The other rooms are all on level 2 and the Family room (which has 2 double beds and a sofa) is the only room on the top level. The upper levels are only accessible by stairs. Kindly note that the main lodge is not pet-friendly due to the built. Only the chalet that is located just across the main lodge is pet friendly.

Pros: A stay that was unique, peaceful, cosy and very memorable. The long drive in on an icy road into the forest in the middle of winter is not something I will forget. As was the kind and welcoming hospitality by the lovely ladies running the place.

Too beautiful to pass by

Pros: The gravel road up to the facility was a bit tricky, but it was winter and I was in a 2WD- thank goodness for snow tires. The architecture is amazing, love the rustic feel. The rooms and common areas were impeccably clean and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The view is beautiful!

Cons: The jets in the tub weren't working great and the plug leaked, but everything else was perfect!

Pros: Fabulous location and retreat style chalet. Gorgeous log fire, beautiful inside decor, comfortable beds and bedroom, wonderful host. A gem of a find and such good value.

Comfortable Hideaway

Pros: I like how the staff made you feel like you were coming home. I like how the staff accommodated our needs and remembered each guest's names.

Cons: More clarity around kitchen use on their website would have been nice. Ideally guests could have access to the onsite kitchen. I would be happy to pay more to have that.

Pros: Just perfect. Great place, very clean and well maintained. Great atmosphere, nice rooms and wonderful common area . All you can dream in a nature vacation. The host was great, welcoming and thoughtful.nice and very kind. The price is reasonable. We highly recommend it!!!❤️ . 10out of 10🤗.
