Buccaneer Inn

Pros: It was clean and dry on a very wet night. I was surprised that there was a kitchen with stove and dishes, and very well-set-up. Although the bed was just a double, it was still quite comfortable. And there were two beds available. I think this is the first time I've seen an actual emergency kit with band-aids, flashlight tsunami info. Etc. Well done!

Cons: Parking would be challenging if there were more people.

Pros: Exceptional sized suite with off road parking as a bonus. The staff were very friendly and kind enough to store our luggage safely for half a day before we checked in. Good base to get to and from the town and the ferry terminal.

Cons: Probably nothing could be done about this but a lift up the stairs with heavy luggage wouldn't go amiss!

Very comfortable

Pros: The beds are very comfortable. I slept on the pull out sofa bed and can't believe how comfortable it was. The location was very nice. Right across from the water

Clean, comfortable, modern room close to Ferry Terminal

Pros: The room was exceptionally clean and must have been renovated in the last while because the decor and room amenities were fresh and up-to-date. The room was quiet, desspite the motel being on a main road. We were catching the ferry to Horseshoe Bay the next morning, and the location was perfect - only a couple of minutes drive to the ferry terminal.

Cons: The room was quite small, which was fine for our 1 night stay, but I wouldn't want to be in that tiny a space for more than a night or 2.

Perfect!

Pros: Daniel was the best host. We were upgraded to the cottage (house), and it was beautiful! We decided to book a second night. Most comfortable bed I've ever slept in, clean, quiet and nicely decorated. Would recommend staying here to anyone coming to Nanaimo!

Pros: Paid for a queen room upgraded us to a king! Bed was so comfy and towels were very soft. Lovely spot would definitely stay again!

Pros: We messaged them earlier if we could have an early check in for we have babies with us. They are very responsive and tried their best to accommodate us earlier than the check in time.

Perfect for overnight, close to airport

Pros: It had everything I needed even a little fridge and freezer for my ice cream. Microwave, dishes etc The staff was awesome at the reception and very kind when I ask him to help me with the tv chanel not working. The cable was disconnected probably by accident😉 For an older building, it was super clean and the bed comfortable!

Cons: It was small for a room, and even with the fan on the ceiling which was great, and the window fully open, there was no air circulation which made the small room a bit stuffy inside. But that is just me who likes to sleep in the fresh air...
