Mike's Luxury House

Pros: The accommodation was in a safe and very nice location — just around the corner is Elizabeth Park, and right behind it a baseball stadium, which is great for baseball fans. The check-in instructions were clear, the bed was very comfortable, the Wi-Fi worked without any issues, and the host was very kind.

Good location for Canada Line, but no local shops

Pros: Close to Canada Line, so easy to get into downtown, Canada Place and the Airport. Nice café just around the corner, waking distance to Elizabeth Park and Van Dusen Botanical Gardens. Room was good size, with kitchen area, but lack of local shops made it less useful.

Cons: Couldn't work out if we were dealing with Mike or if he was just managing the place. Back garden was very untidy. Bed squeaked everytime you moved. No remote for TV. Some noise from other guests rooms.

Overall we were happy to stay at Mike's

Pros: Very convenient location for sky train and bus routes and part of the Queen Elizabeth park with beautiful big cherry blossoms (sakura) trees is just 5 minutes' walk distance behind the complex. Mike is caring and very helpful with information you need to know.

Cons: Some dusting (or mopping) would turn the first floor brighter (others are fine). And don't think guest(s) are to be penalized for late show up (we were trapped by unexpected bad traffic accident and BC road construction which we did not want either) as the room has been paid in full for the first night anyway. Hope that could be a re-consideration.

Pros: Very nice host, clean, nice room. Would like to stay here again.

Cons: No supermarkets near around. No problem if you have a car or only eat in restaurants.

Pros: Mike was a very generous and conscientious host, going above and beyond to make sure his guests felt comfortable. The house was very clean. Great location, very close to a train station and buses, and a few coffee shops.

Cons: Overall it was an excellent stay! The only improvement I might suggest is that, for longer term guests, it would be helpful to have access to a microwave to heat up food.

Pros: Great location, very close to a nice coffeehouse and the metrostation. Bed was good, so were the other things in the beautiful room. Owner is kind too! He even let me check in a couple of hours early since I was already there. That was amazing!

Cons: I sadly couldn't use the bathtub because it was out of order at the time, but it looked great!

Nice room in a nice house, with a train ride into town

Pros: The house is located near the Canada Line, with good access to both the airport and downtown. The area is not very interesting with the exception of a great coffeeshop nearby. The room was nice, large and well kept.

Cons: I would still prefer a better location, but that would be incredibly expensive at this time of the year.

Would stay there again when I am back around.

Pros: Area was quiet but was 5 mins walk to metro. Mike the owner we got along quite well. Really nice man.

Pros: Mike was very nice. He helped me with my laggage and call for a taxi. That helped me a lot. During my 6 nights stay he changed the towls to fresh ones. The location was great, close to the station and the bus stop. I was lucky to stay at Mike's Luxry House!
