HI Banff Alpine Centre - Hostel

Great place to stay, would highly recommend

Pros: Comfortable clean room, warm in winter and great place to stay.

Pros: Room was really nice and there was a bar and a restaurant in close proximity! Communal area was really warm and fuzzy in the cold too :)

Cons: The rooms with the private bathroom could be better if shampoo, conditioner were provided!

Pros: Banff Alpine Hostel is simply a charming place. The cabin is new, with beautiful wooden interiors and a cozy fireplace. Having a laundry room and kitchen available was very convenient, along with the on-site bar and restaurant. Everything was very clean, the beds were new and comfortable, and overall the stay was impeccable.

Cons: I had an issue due to a snowstorm that caused an avalanche and closed Highway 93, the access between Jasper and Banff. Although I informed the hostel around 1:00 PM on December 23 about my check-in, when I arrived on the 24th I was charged for all three days. The next day, when I asked to extend my stay by one more night and mentioned the previous charge, the staff member said there was nothing in the system about it. Additionally, the bus pass I was entitled to was not given to me immediately; I had to return the next day to receive it.

Pros: Great facilities, big kitchen, 4 bed bunks, great common area, bar with open mic etc.

Cons: location is a bit outside of the centre, but therefore right next to hiking trails etc. and they offer you a free bus ticket for your stay. So all good.

Pros: Spacious, clean + close to everything, bus tickets. Everyone was super helpful and friendly.

Cons: Breakfast wasn’t included like previous hostels.

Pros: Kind staff, Clean , easy to access from downtown and bus stop. Free downtown bus pass, big kitchen and nice bar, looptop reading & relaxing area.

I left with a great feeling about my experience which says it all really.

Pros: The different places to relax, the on-site restaurant, the self catering facilities. The closeness to the very good local bus, the closeness to walking areas, the always dry and clean ablution areas.

Cons: A noisy walker at all hours in the floor above but no deal breaker

Pros: Beautiful buildings, stunning views, comfortable beds, large kitchens. Cafe, bar, pool table. Comfortable common areas with fireplaces.

Pros: Stunning view, comfortable beds. Friendly staff. Big kitchen, comfy lounge area with fireplace. Cafe, pool table & bar.

Cons: One kitchen dining area was under construction in the building so there was no seating in the building we stayed in but it wasn't a big deal because there was lots of room in the other kitchen.
