HI Vancouver Jericho Beach - Hostel

Sleeping in quiet beach area in big but nice dorm rooms

Pros: The quiet surrounding straight next to the Jericho Beach. Good free parking option behind the building Big kitchen. Very clean and comfortable showers/washing rooms.

Cons: Only very big dorm rooms. Separation only with a curtain: pro of this is better air flow of course than in a sticky small room! Con is of course you hear everything and bis head lights will be on until 11pm minimum as you hear everyone all the time as well. Some bed lights would improve the head light issue directly! Compartments are missing bed lights and hangers to hang clothes and towels somewhere!

Pros: Guests were quiet & respected the lights out & quiet time in the female dorm

Pros: The staff is friendly. The energy is awesome. The events are interesting. The location is great. And basically everything.

Cons: Some extra effort could be done on cleaning the rooms.

Pros: Amazing location, friendly staff, have wonderful activities every day, has a cosy vibe like home. Best place for a relaxing stay but also with possibility of meeting people and getting around the city and surrounding nature.

Comfortable bed

Pros: The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were really clean and aesthetic. The staff were friendly.

Cons: The location is very far from downtown Van. The female dorm is one huge room with cubicles and one light.

Excellent and worth your money! Would recommend to my friends.

Pros: I like the free breakfast, and the TV room was near the kitchen. The TV has access to the internet and along with old movie players like VCR and CDs. The best part for me was that they have a Wii Console and I think 3 controllers, so you can play with your friends or other people at the hostel. They have a variety of Wii games like Wii Sports and Games, 3 kinds of Mario Games, etc Plus, their washrooms were clean!

Cons: The limited choice of breakfast.

The hotel is clean, fresh towels, hot breakfast and coffee. I recommend this hotel

Pros: 1)The HI just introduced Free breakfast which is thoughtful as area doesnt have another close option to eat. Its own HI bar seems to have vanished. The breakfast is somewhat continental and i suspect will only improve. 2) The hostel has its own vibe with many activites and group ventures. 3) super close to jerico beach for relax amd sunsets as well as boat club

Cons: They have a lovely large tv media room for entertaining guests in basement which is closed during late hours (10pm-7am.) As basement is also for laundry and kitchen it is a natural place for guests to chill especially during late night when many gueets are still awake and active. Closing tv media room denies people option escape from snorers, people conflicts, sleep issues etc
