Fantastic spot, felt homey, would stay again

Pros: Fantastic location, the staff were really lovely and helpful, the interior design is really cool / historical / maritime themed

Cons: The IKEA bed was really squeaky, which was bearable for us but I imagine our neighbours didn’t love it.

Solid performer, does the job.

Pros: Staff were friendly and helpful. Bed was clean. Sink in your room is convenient.

Cons: The entire place has creaky floorboards, and you can hear every other guest in their rooms. Earpods are a must. Hope that you don't get room 18A with the toilets outside your door!

Nice clean place in middle of Vancouver

Pros: Easy to find and was clean, very clean really liked it, the surrounding area can be a little scary at night but I went for a walk at 6am and felt safe 2 days in a row

Cons: Could do with being made a little more modern

Pros: The location is really good and the room is comfortable and clean, we stayed for a few nights before flying back home, it's close to the waterfront and shops so easy to be able to get around. Having a sink in the room is actually really handy.

Cons: During the night, outside can get very noisy, but that comes with every city. The rooms get VERY hot so definitely invest in a fan if you're staying here.

Pros: The hotel/hostel is a good place to stay. Yes it is old, but is well maintained and is clean ! It is close to public transportation to the airport and around the city too. There are a lot of good restaurants and places to explore close by.The staff is very friendly and helpful. So all of this made my stay great ! Would I stay there again YES!

Cons: I wish there was a t. v. where one can get caught up on the world in news etc. That works for me. Everyone is different.

Exceptional!!

Pros: Safe and secure, spacious and comfortable room and very good “base” from which to explore Vancouver and beyond. Staff were easy going and approachable, nothing was too much trouble. Late check in was available and easy, as well as baggage storage prior to departure which was ideal for my flight timings. Thanks guys! Until next time :-)

Cons: The immediate district location, and although the locals appeared harmless it was quite disconcerting as a solo female traveller.

Cost effective stay in downtown Vancouver.

Pros: Lovely quaint heritage building in the heart of downtown. Extremely easy to get around downtown on foot while we were based here. The private twin room suited us very well and the shared bathroom facilities were functional, the showers could perhaps have been cleaned slightly more often, but were clearly cleaned once per day. We particularly enjoyed the cosy living room space where we could sit after a long day out in Vancouver!

Cons: Vancouver's downtown does have a lot of unhoused people suffering from addiction, and while this did not effect the hostel or our stay directly, it gave all of downtown a slightly unsafer feel.
