Heron's Landing Hotel

Pros: The staff was very accommodating. I was there because my mother was in the hospital, and it made a stressful situation less stressful for both myself and my aunt.ho stayed there with me. The beds were comfortable, the price was great and the location was incredible.

Cons: The only thing I noticed was a little issue with the plug in the bathroom sink, which is because it's an older hotel, but that also makes it beautiful.

Pros: great breakfast! Room and bed were good. It was Valentine's day, and the connecting door btw rooms could have been a bit more sound proof but it was all good:)

Pros: The location and value for money are amazing. Since its a portal to Strathcona and the peaks.

Great value for your dollar!

Pros: Underground parking was very good; lovely walks along the ocean walkway we're lovely; the breakfast was very good and the rooms were very comfortable.

Cons: We had a noisy neighbor but The manager gave us an upgraded suite which was Lovely free of charge!

Pros: The price , breakfast with your stay. Host were very pleasant and helpful.

Cons: Can't say I didn't like but couldn't use the underground parking due to our overhead cargo container on our car,so if u have a large truck u will be parking out front.

Pros: Ocean front,clean,quiet,personal deck,breakfast included, all day coffee at reception. Coffee in room, dark curtains, slip free carpet for shower.

Cons: Nothing to say here.

Quite enjoyable and would have no problems returning to stay there.

Pros: Room was very clean, bed was comfortable, and the breakfast was very filling. The covered parking was an awesome bonus, but unfortunately my truck was to high to go in, but there was outdoor parking in front, so all was good.

Cons: Two little issues. One was the coffee pot light didn't work so was uncertain if it turned on. It did so once I learned that, it wasn't an issue. The other was the hair dryer in the bathroom...the missus said the switch wouldn't stay on and she had to hold it on. Once again...just little items.

Superb value

Pros: Quiet and comfortable room, at the side rather than facing road. Free use of washing machine (tumble drier $2/hr). Excellent complimentary breakfast with freshly cooked scrambled eggs and sausages on the buffet.

Pros: It’s a nice big space. There was a sea view and a verandah. The staff were friendly. There was laundry facilities. There was a complimentary simple breakfast. Underground parking. The location was good. I was happy with this choice.

Cons: The room had a slight acrid smell. I’m sure it’s the carpets. Maybe they need cleaning. The hotel is on a busy highway so for some it might be too noisy, however with the windows closed it was fine.

Decent one night stopover in a clean and safe room

Pros: The man that checked us in was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We initially panicked that we wouldn’t be able to park, but there is a big underground carpark just under the hotel on the right as you drive up the driveway. Great wifi - we were able to stream a sports game with no problems. We were in room 107 and it was incredibly spacious, with a well equipped kitchen. The room was also incredibly clean. We were supposed to stay a further night in a couple of days time, but on the back of scathing TripAdvisor reviews, I cancelled that night within the free cancellation period. I regret it now. It isn’t a Fairmont, but for its price point, you will get a safe and clean stay and a good night of sleep.

Cons: The walls were most definitely thin - we could hear our neighbours clearing their throats and coughing throughout the night. We have experienced this at a number of Canadian hotels though - the sound proofing isn’t great. My husband had ear plugs which blocked out the sound for him. The booking said that the rooms had two large double beds, but one of those was a Murphy bed. I slept on it with one of my kids and it was surprisingly comfortable. The bathroom is a tight squeeze for a family of four. Definitely only one at a time. The hotel is dated, and the hallway carpets are an eyesore.
