Holiday Inn Express & Suites Courtenay - Comox by IHG

Pros: Breakfast was wonderful! The hotel is very attractive and well designed. Our room was one of the nicest rooms we have stayed in and we have traveled extensively over the years.

Great budget hotel in an ideal location for a day trip to Courtney.

Pros: It was much nicer and newer inside than it looked from the outside. Everything felt well looked after and like they were trying to offer the best budget service they could.

Cons: Sorry to say but there were several noises linked to the ventilation & heating systems that we couldn’t turn off which caused an irritation through the night.

Good place to stay near Comox airport

Pros: We stayed here after a late night flight into Comox. The rooms suited us fine and were a good price. It's convenient for the airport.

Cons: Breakfast was ok, but I have had better.

Many conveniences in one place, comfortable and hospitable.

Pros: Great buffet-style breakfast! Eggs, sausage or bacon, baked beans, potatoes, pancakes, plus the typical continental breakfast items. Loved the self-serve coffee/tea station that was stocked all day. Nice pool, not cold, also not too warm. Front desk staff were friendly, professional and attentive. Room had lots of lighting settings, outlets, USB ports, and the A/C worked well. The windows can be opened a few inches for fresh air if desired. Nice showerhead in the bathroom with three settings. Dove products supplied in shower and at sink. In-room safe (not bolted down though). Overall a modern and well-provisioned room. Lots of parking, and you could use your key card to enter the hotel from the back. Key card required in the elevator and for the fitness room and pool. Also, they have two washers and two dryers ($2.50 each at time of writing).

Cons: The beds were comfortable but too soft for my personal liking. If you have back issues and need something supportive, these might not be the best for you. They were plush and cozy though. The fitness room was ok but needs to be cleaned better. Lots of dust and hair in the corners and borders. Only one small surface between the two beds in the room, no nightstand drawers. Kinda crowded for everyone's books, phones, personal items...

Pros: Amazing breakfast. Indoor pool. Comfortable bed and pillows.

Cons: It was too far from Parksville.

Good stop for Comox airport

Pros: Good size rooms, decent breakfast, good location for comox airport

Cons: Our family had rooms in different floors, but we couldn't get to each other as the lift only allowed you to go to your own room

Perfect for an airport stay.

Pros: Casino with restaurant close by plus plaza with grocery store, restaurant and other shops a couple blocks away.

Family stay

Pros: We liked the pool and the clean rooms, comfortable beds, yummy breakfast in the morning. The staff was nice and it was easy for me to switch rooms to a family-friendly room. My kids enjoyed playing on the computers 🖥 🙌 👌.

Cons: Breakfast doesn't go long enough... we missed it the first morning cause we didn't realize it only went till 10. The showers were good but could use more water pressure.. and it was weird when you were showering. Sometimes, the pressure would be up and down, and you could hear it.

Great hotel for going skiing at mount Washington! Good breakfast ! Big room and bathroom.

Pros: Breakfast was great as was the space provided to eat . Staff was very friendly and always happy to help. Pool is really nice !

Great for families as good location with parking and next to a grocery store.

Pros: The breakfast was great and a full breakfast too. So, a great value. Pancakes, pork sausage, bacon, eggs, juice, coffee, and more. The location was great and was fairly close to Mt. Washington and downtown Courtenay.

Cons: I would like a medicine ball in the gym. And some kettlebells would be a great touch. It was nice to have the TV to set up some video workouts.
