Sunwapta Falls Rocky Mountain Lodge

Pros: The cabin was amazing with the fireplace. It was clean! Very well-located, the staff were nice, polite. Honestly, I definitely recommend this place.

Pros: Front desk staff were exceptional. Albsolutely loved all of my interactions with them and wish we had been able to stay longer!

Cons: Bit pricier than I wanted to pay given its location but it did end up being worth it and we understand that at that point in the season you take what you get.

Comfortable and convenient to all sightseeing around the area

Pros: Helpful and very friendly staff, the location is accessible to both Banff and Jasper, easy to find and provide lots of information

Very good!

Pros: This is the accommodation closest to the Colombian icefield, also over 40 kilometers away. The guest room is an independent cottage with a relatively spacious interior. The front desk staff are considerate and have provided additional microwave ovens and electric kettles. The waiters in the restaurant were very enthusiastic and provided excellent service, so I specially gave an extra tip to express my gratitude.

Cons: The breakfast was relatively simple, but it was basically enough.

Pros: Location of hotel great, facilities fine, staff friendly. Rooms quaint and characterful. The restaurant dinner was excellent.

Cons: It was expensive for the standard of the accommodation and facilities. Breakfast was well below the dinner quality and actually put us off eating in the restaurant. When we did have an evening meal it was excellent although a little pricey for a motel.

Would recommend Sunwapta Falls Rocky Mountain Lodge for 1-3 nights as a base for exploring the park

Pros: The staff were super friendly and welcoming. The room was very comfortable, if a little small. The location was great as a base for hiking some of the trails in the park.

Cons: The breakfast was just okay - cold eggs, not many options for adding to the only flavour of yogurt (plain).

Best place - highly recommend

Great rural stay

Pros: The complimentary breakfast was good. The restaurant at dinner the food was great, and the portion size was on the large side. Limited menu choice, although most people would find a suitable option. The lodge is great, although I had asked for a lodge near to the main building due to mobility issues. They were unable to accommodate this.

Cons: The distance from the main building. Due to there not being any shops nearby, it would be extremely helpful to have a few basics available either complimentary or available to purchase like milk, coffee, some snack items or similar

Pros: We were exceptionally gratefull for the help willingly given by staff in helping us out with transport.
