Overlander Mountain Lodge

Good stay with amazing location but not very convenient

Pros: The room was very nice, clean, and large enough for two adults and one child. The view was great, and everything was very clean. The sofa could be a bit more comfortable, but it was very easy to set up.

Cons: The extra bed was a bit uncomfortable. The room was booked for two adults and a child, but there were only two chairs and the table couldn't hold three plates, making it impossible for everyone to eat together, even just breakfast. The reception area was under construction, so we couldn't request an extra chair, and the restaurant was closed during our stay, forcing us to go to Jasper (a 45-minute drive each way) for all our meals. This isn't very convenient when you want a stay far from amenities, hoping to enjoy a lodge in the middle of nowhere with food and no place to comfortably sit down and eat at a table for three.

Pros: Staff were exceptional. Cabin was great. Trails were nice.

Cons: I didn't know the kitchen and lodge were closed when I booked on booking.

Pros: The cabin was beautiful, the location and staff were amazing!

Cons: I wish there was amenities, such as a hot tub.. The baseboard heaters are falling off,

Pros: Probably the most beautiful view we've ever had from a hotel room. The lodge itself is gorgeous too!

Cons: There was no tv in the room. Depending on what you want, this may be a good thing!

Peaceful three days stay at Overlander in a chalet in a lovely location.

Pros: We had our own little two bedroomed chalet which was actually very spacious. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed included dishwasher and washing machine and dryer. It was very warm and comfortable. The staff were very friendly. They even lent us bear spray for our hike around Lake Maligne. It was good value for money. It’s a forty minute drive from Jasper but a beautiful drive with lakes and wildlife along the way. I wish we could have stayed longer.

Cons: The restaurant was quite over priced and the food was fine, but nothing special. We preferred the brewery down the road.

A beautiful romantic place to stay

Pros: We loved the atmosphere, the staff were phenomenal and the scenic setting was fabulous. Supper at the restaurant was romantic and tastey the waiter and chef went above and beyond to accommodate my allergies and make this weekend an exceptional experience. Thank you

Cons: The only two things I suggest is finding a firmer mattress and having the cleaning specialist place a dishwasher tablet in the jet tub to clean out the jets. Other than that we would definitely love to return.

Incredible view, cosy feel and reasonable location.

Pros: Staff were really attentive and explained everything we needed to know clearly. View from the main lodge and restaurant was incredible, great to sit by the fire and read a book.

Pros: We had an amazing stay. We stayed only one night and I wished we could stay longer. Beautiful place with amazing views. The restaurant is great with delicious and gigantic portions

Pros: A great location although a bit further from Jasper than we originally wanted.

Cons: Maybe a bit picky but we didn't want to use the jacuzzi bath as the jet nozzles didn't look at all clean!

Pros: It’s was a perfect location, amazing views and our little chalet was super cozy!
