Rocky Mountain Escape Dome & Log Cabin Rentals - Rock Lake

Don't hesitate! You won't regret it.

Pros: It took some convincing for my husband who was unsure how he'd cope being off grid. After 3 nights, he didn't want to leave! Gary and Julia kept in touch with us on our journey from Jasper and Gary met us when we arrived. He explained everything and even lent us bear spray (which we didn't need to use!) The cabin is fantastic with lots of extra comforts. We enjoyed using the griddle to cook our meals outside. I don't think I've ever slept so well! We took a few trails and explored the area by foot as well as by car. We saw a herd of Elk on the road too. We loved our stay here and are hoping to return one day!

Cons: Nothing - it was an experience of a lifetime!

Once in a lifetime place to stay - couldn’t recommend it more.

Pros: Everything! We stayed at the Rocky Mountain Escape during our road trip through the Rockies and this was definitely our favourite place we visited. The location is gorgeous with amazing scenery, wildlife and trails right on your doorstep. The cabin itself is exceptional - beautifully decorated and well-equipped. Julia and Garry were fantastic hosts and really made us feel at home. We will definitely visit again and would recommend it to anyone planning a trip to the area.

Amazingly unique location with a beautiful log cabin to boot!

Pros: An incredibly unique location in Rock Lake Provincial Park. The log cabins were beautiful and it is the perfect place to surround yourself with nature!

Pros: Fantastic lodge in a wonderful part of Canada and with lovely hosts!! Perfect ambiance to disconnect for a few days, enjoy the beauty of nature, the wildlife and the stars!!

Pros: a complete brain reboot because it's far from civilization, only nature, cute animals knocking on the window!

Cons: It's hard to walk with a small child...it's better to wait until he's 3-4 years old

Best place we have been in Alberta

Pros: Amazing views. Nature and wildlife everywhere. Hosts always available and very nice people

Cons: The dome is incredible, but for a limited number of nights as there is only a toilet. This was not a problem for us as our kids were in a cabin fully equipped

Excellent.

Pros: All was perfect. Clean, comfortable. In the middle of the nature. Gary was an excellent host. Possibilities to hike around the cabin. Fireplace inside the cabin to keep you warm. Deers, hares and squirrels in the surroundings.

Wish I had stayed longer!

Pros: The cabin was fabulous but the location was even better. Julie & Gary were brilliant hosts, giving us lots of tips to make the most of our time there.

Pros: Our cabin was spacious, clean with some lovely homely touches. The surrounding area was amazing and so peaceful. Our hosts, Julia & Gary were super friendly & helpful.

Amazing

Pros: The cabin was amazing, set in such a beautiful spot. Gary and Julia were brilliant hosts. Fully stocked kitchen with tea/ coffee. Having the griddle meant we could enjoy cooking and eating outside. There are plenty of walking trails straight from the cabin, and more down at the lake. So quiet and peaceful. I would definitely like to return one day!

Cons: The fact we had to leave.
