Perfectly adequate, good view and overall satisfactory. Recommended.

Pros: The balcony and view from it. Quiet location, well equiped motel room.

Cons: The water pressure was rather low.

An ideal location for exploring Campbell River

Pros: This was the first time I had stayed in a motel and I was pleasantly surprised. The owner / manager was very helpful, especially when I made a mistake with my booking and provided an excellent service. The room came with ensuite bathroom / shower, fridge, microwave and storage facilities. The balcony view over the water was very relaxing after a day out exploring.

Cons: A couple of thoughts on the room: i) Although there is a microwave in the room there were no utensils, so if a ready meal is purchased there is nothing to eat it with. ii) The lighting in the room is mainly little spotlights attached to various items e.g. bed, etc. Some additional fixed lighting would be advantageous.

Pros: We read that some guests saw orcas swimming by, so we really hoped that would happen to us too. And we really saw two orcas from our balcony! The view is definitely great.

CAMPBELL RIVER TRIP.

Pros: The staff was very nice The view couldn't be beat Rooms were nice.

Cons: A little pricey

Excellent motel style accommodation with friendly and helpful host

Pros: Really helpful and understanding host. We had heard it was possible to see black bears, and the host was happy to explain where in the area was a good place to see them catching salmon from the river. We had a comfortable room with sufficient beds for the four of us. Fridge and coffee maker. Would we recommend? Yes. Would we stay again? Definitely!

Cons: Two double beds rather than one double and two twin, but we knew this would be the case, as as it seems to be usual across Canada at our budget end of the market we were happy to work with this.

A fantastic spot for marine wildlife spotting. close to everything and the staff were lovely

Pros: The location is absolutely stunning. The views incredible. A good walk into town if needed and the rooms had all we needed.

Pros: I absolutely loved Campbell River and the Above Tide was a great place to stay. Paul on reception couldn't have been more helpful and checking in and out was simple and quick. The apartment was great with loads of room for the two of us. The views are stunning, and I loved watching the resident hummingbirds and bald eagle every morning and evening. The bed is big and comfortable, the kitchen well equipped (though a dishwasher would be a good addition) and the bathroom is roomy with a decent shower. The balcony was the highlight for me and I think we spent more time out on it than in the room. We saw an amazing moon rise and the stars were incredible. We only stayed two nights, but could easily have stayed for a week, and I will definitely stay again if I'm ever lucky enough to visit Campbell River in the future.

Cons: The balcony could have been a little wider and I would have loved a slimline dishwasher in the kitchen, otherwise I wouldn't change a thing :)

Comfortable stay

Pros: Lana on reception was extremely friendly and helpful during our stay. The room had a great view over the ocean and we were lucky enough to see humpback whales, bald eagles and hummingbirds from outside our room. At reception we could get cutlery so that we could have some food in the room. The bed was comfortable, we had a table and a coffee machine and the shower was warm.

Cons: Everything we needed for our stay was great

Good location and great view from the balcony.

Pros: Paul the Manager was very pleasant and helpful about the local area. The view from the balcony (we were in the second floor) was fantastic. During the day there were small boats always passing and we saw a hummingbird in the tree below. At night we could see the cruise ships sailing past all lit up.

Cons: The room was a bit dated and the road at the front was noisy, but the view from the balcony made up for both of these.

Pros: Friendly staff and quickly accommodated any requests ie extra towels.

Cons: The very noisy road in the back of the hotel which is located dirctely on that busy road with traffic going by very late and very early. ****I ONLY book hotels that have air conditioning. This hotel stated it had Air Conditioning.....this is very misleading since I DONOT consider upright fans in each room air conditioning!!! There is a tiny approx 12”x18” AC unit in the bedroom window, which hardly does anything. We had to open the sliding door and back door on the noisy highway side to get it cooled off.
