The Ester House

Pros: The room was clean, large, and comfortable. The facilities were great, and it was also very easy to check-in and check-out. The location is convenient as well.

Cons: Almost nothing! The room is a little cold in the winter.

Pros: My stay was great, the room was spacious, clean, and comfy, and the location was perfect for getting to UBC, Kitsilano and downtown.

Pros: Location is excellent. All the rooms are very nicely furnished.

Cons: Needs some air conditioning - my room was very hot. The $50 extra charge for laundry was unexpected and seems excessive for one night's stay .

Pros: I loved meeting and talking to the other guests who were so interesting and from so many different places. The bed and bedsheets were also very comfortable.

Cons: The home has a very spartan look and feel, no area rugs, towels are covering the sofa and drying on the stairwell banisters, the one tv doesn't work, the backyard is kind of dirty and not attractive, there is dust on counters and crumbs from previous guests. The other guests are what really make this a lovely stay.

Pros: The environment was peaceful,spacious, and clean. The owner was welcoming and guided us to the tourist attractions area. I truly loved the unique flowers in the area

Pros: The Ester House was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Location is beautiful and so quiet. Ester the owner is friendly and cleans every inch of the house every day. Short walk to shops, cafes etc. Would highly recommend staying here.

Pros: Really clean, spacious house with a lot of light. Huge common areas. Calm location.

Cons: The bed was kinde small, but you can make it work. There was no hot water in the kitchen.

Comfortable stay in a very quiet neighborhood

Pros: Very quiet neighborhood -- our room faced onto the street, but we heard almost no cars driving past. Our room was comfortable and spacious, and the whole house was very neat and tidy. The self-check-in meant we could arrive late at night, which was very convenient for us!

Cons: The house was quite sparse, with lots of big, empty rooms, and no tea or coffee. Our bedroom shared a bathroom with the neighbouring room which was fine, but the bathroom couldn't be locked from the outside, which meant that our bedroom could be accessed from the next room. However, the whole house was locked so this was only a small security concern.
