Nice stay in Vancouver

Pros: The lady at the front desk was so helpful. I arrived from my flight earlier than their check in time and because I had big bags and didn't want to carry them around the city I asked to check in early. The lady was so helpful and found me an available room, it must have been a hassle for her but she did it with a smile and didn't make me feel like it was a problem. It was much appreciated.

Cons: For the price, the room is very small. Mine was quite dark with only one light in the main area, and the window looked into a nearby office building. I didn't mind much because I was only spending one night there but if you wanted to spend longer I think this would not be the most comfortable space.

Will stay here again if visiting Vancouver again.

Pros: Location was perfect with restaurants, convenient stores, supermarket and Sky Train within walking distance.

Cons: Just one shared bathroom per floor.

Pros: I like the excellent hospitality of the staff, especially the lady at the reception. Though the receptionist looks serious and not accommodating. The location is perfect: near the train station going to the airport and the city center.

Cons: I didn't like the male receptionist who doesn't even smile at the guest.

Great value place to stay in central Vancouver city.

Pros: The location is central and within walking distance to other hotels that tour company coaches pick up from. This hotel has a delightful olde world charm with interesting features. The room was very spacious and the free laundry room and additional bathroom if needed were big bonuses. Sweet sitting area for tea and coffee making.

Cons: The foyer had an unusual odour, but the reception staff said it was likely the carpet cleaning product. It was not unpleasant, rather it was a strange smell, and was a bit off-putting when first entering.

Pros: The location is right in the centre of things, a couple of blocks from the airport metro and numerous bus routes close by. There is a good selection of eateries in the area. The hotel staff are excellent and I was able to check in early. The shared bathroom worked very well, it was kept spotlessly clean and there was never anyone there when I needed it. Bathrobe and slippers are provided.

Cons: Apart from coffee in the morning there is no breakfast option, but there are cafés nearby.

Pros: For an older building (100 years plus) it is amazingly up to date. Well finished and very handy to Skytrain and QE Theatre where Lion King was playing. Excellent restaurant adjacent and another across the street for breakfast. Next time downtown Vancouver we will definitely book here.

Cons: Not a thing.

Pros: Location excellent for our short stay. Staff were very friendly and helpful. It was a family run low rise characterful building amongst glass and concrete skyscrapers. We enjoyed staying there.

Cons: We are both tall and the double bed was very small.

What a great hotel!

Pros: What a delightful hotel! Very old and they have kept all the charm while providing modern touches like air-conditioning. The only room they had left for our 2 night stay was a twin room with en-suite bathroom, but it was a lovely big room with a huge walk in closet with robes & slippers too. The bedding was high quality sheets with a fleece blanket and quilted bedspread, extremely comfortable beds, choice of pillows and we slept very well. It was very clean, lots of toiletries, fresh coffee in the lobby every morning and all the staff were friendly. Location is great, walking distance of the Waterfront, eateries, shops, the tower, steam clock, parks etc, and busses & trains very close. The bar & restaurant next door was a really good atmosphere and great food, and hotel guests get a 15% discount. All in all a lovely hotel and we really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended and a very affordable rate.

Cons: Nothing!

Pros: The location, staff, and facilities. I was also given a 15%off voucher to use next door at Fable Diner & Bar. I had plenty of towels in my single room with a sink. The shared bathroom was clean and well maintained. Coffee and tea facilities were available on ground floor. I liked the location and accessibility to the city, transport and car access.
