Hotel Civilia Lakeside by Civilia Golf Retreat

Short stay in Clearwater but comfiest bed I've ever slept in!

Pros: The bed was so bit and sooooo comfy!!! Shower nice and hot and powerful. View from the balcony was great. Perfect stay after many hours driving and hiking. Room was a bit dated but that bed was made of clouds! Breakfast was offered in their other hotel which was simple but nice.

Cons: There's not a lot in the area, except a few shops but is close to access some nice hiking areas in Wells gray park. Only a few places to eat in the surrpunding area. Breakfast was a short drive away, for us it didn't matter so much because it was on the way when we were leaving but maybe not convenient if you have to go and come back.

Nice motel with lovely staff in good location

Pros: It was clean with nice views of the lake from our motel room. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and our room was clean and comfortable. It’s located a short distance from Clearwater, and within walking distance (5mins) if the Welks Gray Inn, where we ate twice, and had excellent meals. It’s extremely close to Wells Gray Provincial Park too.

Cons: They have an arrangement with a sister company for breakfast, which is served at Civilia Golf Course, some 7km away.

Pros: the staff, the facilities, the bed comfort, the food.

Surprisingly scenic

Pros: The accomodation was surprisingly nice. The hotel may look unassuming from the outside however the rooms are all newly renovated. The staff were friendly. Short walk down to the lake at the back of the property. Good spot for deer spotting.

Cons: The walk down to the lake behind the property could do with better signage.

Pros: Rooms were modern, clean and well appointed. Balcony views over Dutch Lake wonderful, and met some lovely people on the balcony ! Private beach a nice place to chill. Staff welcoming, helpful and friendly.

Cons: Nothing. It was perfect!

Nice view and good location

Pros: The room was large and fairly well equipped. Lovely view from the balcony.

Cons: The outdoor areas could be better maintained. It's a bit of a steep walk down to the lakeside beach area.

Pros: Although we stayed for just one night, the experience was excellent. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making our short stay very pleasant. A special thanks to Yukthi, who was very supportive and ensured all our requirements were met without any hassle. Her warm and attentive approach added a personal touch that made us feel truly welcome. Highly recommended!

Cons: Nothing at All.

Pros: Private hidden beach access. Great breakfast, worth the 7 km drive in the morning.

Great pit stop if you are travelling, really comfortable stay in a great location

Pros: Was a great find, located on a beautiful lake with really accommodating staff. Made for a great stay and was originally put off my some of the other reviews.
