Pros: Wonderful host, fantastic location within walking distance of Cook village, Beacon Hill Park and city centre. Bus stops right outside, two local pubs, 5 mins from beach.

Fabulous Historical Home Getaway

Pros: I appreciated the attention to detail of our host, and her passion for keeping a Historical home unique, authentic and comfortable! Her generosity and hospitality shined through with our breakfast carefully curated and fresh each morning, and all of our comforts taken care of. Thank you for making our stay so welcoming!

Pros: This B&B is very near the iconic Cooks Street Village of Victoria, VERY quiet in a well restored heritage home, with convenient parking in front of the home, room was very comfortable, with wide breakfast options.

Cons: Stairways may be difficult for handicapped persons.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily stay there again

Its a great location! Very nice and Gail made me feel very comfortable!

Pros: continental breakfasts was delicious, the English breakfast I had ordered for one of the mornings was plenty and good!

Pros: This is a beautiful heritage house with lots of character. It is spotlessly clean. Gail was a lovely host, very friendly and helpful. The bed was really comfortable. There was a little kitchen area with a coffee machine, refrigerator and microwave. And Gail provided some options for breakfast eg juice, Greek yogurt & granola, fresh muffin, porridge sachets, all much appreciated. The house is in a lovely serene area, close to the shore for a walk along the beach. It is only a short walk from Cook St Village. You could walk to downtown or get a bus. Would definitely recommend.

Pros: We loved the Victorian house and location. Our bed was extremely comfortable, and the neighborhood was very quiet. We were able to rest well after cycling for 50km every day. Our host Gail was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed staying at this beautiful property.

Cons: One side of the bed did not have a beside bed table, but we improvised with small stool that we found in the hallway. Perhaps Booking.com is to blame for this, but the cleaning fee is something that I will never get used to or accept as a normal state of affairs. I mean the room should be clean for guests that are staying and the price of the room should include this as a normal part of it, same as towels, running water, bed sheets etc. It is beyond me that we have to pay extra to have a clean room. I can make my own bed and wash dishes if that is what I'm paying extra for.

Pros: Gail, super great and was very helpful. Location is fantastic a little pricey, but reasonable.

Cons: My mom said it was a little cold for her. But she’s 88!

I was very glad to have had this time away, and happy that I stayed at the Sea Birds Cottage.

Pros: I really appreciated Gail's kindness and thoughtfulness. She responded so intuitively to my needs, and I felt cared for. She surprised me with some treats I wasn't expecting. So lovely.
