Hotel at the Waldorf

Pros: everything was pretty great, especially for the price. the restaurant was awesome, delicious food and great service and the staff of the hotel were all very kind and accommodating.

Cons: this was my first time in Vancouver, so I didnt know the area when booking. the street this hotel is on is famous for its homelessness and drug addiction problem. Personally, I had no issue and overall had a very wonderful stay, me and my friend just stayed in the hotel until we went to the concert we were attending. We didnt see the said problem until we went further up the street.

Nice, historic hotel

Pros: Staff were efficient and friendly. Rooms, while dated, were very clean

Cons: Very expensive for such an old hotel with very few amenities, even though there was an event nearby. Our shower was also very small

Pros: honestly, i know they talked about the possibility of noise, but even though it was a friday night i slept so well and wasnt bothered at all! The bed was super comfy.

Pros: Room was nice and big and the air conditioner worked well. Great for 1 night as you can go to the pub attached for a drink and dinner.

Cons: The location, was a bit scary to see all the homeless

All in all I’ll still come back..nice staff and good location for what I like doing in Vancouver.

Pros: I like this hotel..close to the drive and easy access to downtown. Good beer in the pub too!

Cons: I’ve stayed there a few times , this time my room was a bit of a disappointment…very small and cramped and there weren’t a lot of guests staying so I felt you could have done better.

Overall, I think this hotel is great, especially given the not expensive pricing.

Pros: Before I checked in, I saw a lot of reviews of not clean environment. However, I think the room and it’s bathroom are very clean. In addition, the staffs are very friendly.

Cons: The location is a little distant from the downtown. (But there are a lot of buses, and the compass card enable passengers to pay only 2.6 CA$ to take unlimited bus in 90 mins) When I booked the hotel, there was no many choices, and I didn’t notice that there was no hair dryer for my room. This was a little inconvenient.

Decent

Pros: Customer service and retro/ polynesian decor were awesome.

Cons: The addicts and drunks that seem to surround the area.

Have stayed twice now, will definitely being staying again next time.

Pros: The Waldorf while being an older building and showing it's age, also carries with a lot of character. It's easy enough to get to via public transit from downtown. It's clean, and stocked with all the expected amenities. The staff was pleasant and helpful. Really for the price point and location there wasn't anything to complain about. The Waldorf is nothing fancy, but perfectly exceptional for it's weight class.

Cons: Truthfully the only comment I can give against the Waldorf is the neighborhood it's located in, East Vancouver is a little rough and I'm sure can be uncomfortable for some people. That being said, that's not really the fault of the Waldorf, just one of the realities of Vancouver.

Cons: Very noisy (okay, they say at the description that there is a nightclub nearby), but there was a window pretty close to our room, we could hear the people having party out loud and it was after midnight. Plus, there is no breakfast included, and I thought a little bit expensive to buy it at the restaurant. :/

Super clean cozy room

Pros: Nice clean hotel. The room was very small but had great storage space, a large closet, a safe box, several mirrors, a fridge, chest of drawers, a coffee machine, and a desk. So there was a very clever use of space. Staff were very helpful and the wifi worked great! Lastly, there is no breakfast provided but you have a discount at a bar attached to the hotel, and there are supermarkets around. Highly recommended!

Cons: No microwave, the shower is very tiny and the mattress wasn’t the most comfortable I slept on. Yet, I think this was a great value room and I would definitely be back!
