Our most favorite place to stay

Pros: The Sentinel is operated by the kindest, most humble staff you could ask for. The location is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views and impeccably clean rooms. No matter how many nights you book, you’ll wish you had stayed longer. We love this place so much, we’ve chosen it as our wedding venue and the staff have been incredibly helpful and accommodating every step of the way.

Comfort, friendliness in paradise.

Pros: The rooms are elegant and spotlessly clean, as are all the buildings you have access to. The landscaping and environment are so beautiful. Beds comfy, beautiful view, healing sessions are available, had an outstanding Shiatsu deep tissue massage with Peter in the Yurt.

Location was awesome. It’s so memorable and peaceful. We love this spot and definitely visit again

Peaceful, relaxing weekend

Pros: Beautiful views of the mountain and lake from our bedroom. The grounds were beautiful and peaceful. I loved the hot tub, sauna and cold plunge area .

Cons: I wish the room had a fridge, but we did have access to a fridge we could use.

Great for a get away!

Pros: Great facilities. Hot tub, cold plunge and sauna all great. Rooms are small but the common spaces are great and feel cozy. Bring snacks as the closest shop is 15mins away.

Pros: Just everything - best place we stayed at during our five week tour across East and West Canada: Calm, Relaxing, great beds and rooms and the best breakfast we had. Everybody is friendly and helpful - just go there yourself and relax

This was a retreat on my birthday. It was relaxing, easy and special.

Pros: The breakfast could not have been better. Andrea is a magician. Everyone around the table was satisfied, maybe even transported. The kitchen sounded and smelled heavenly. Everything on offer was nutritious and beautifully-presented.

Great, but under construction

Pros: Gorgeous location, well-kept amenities, linens and bedding are quite luxurious and high quality. The staff are very warm and friendly. Stargazing is great. There are lots of cozy places to lounge or read or chat with tea. The hot-tub is the old-fashioned wooden kind and in great shape. There is also a plunge tub and shower, amenities most don't offer. There is lots of care and attention to detail in this facility. The Fletcher falls aren't far away and are well worth the hike.

Cons: The grounds are a bit messy because of construction. There's no mention of construction currently happening on the booking.com page. If we had stayed more than one night, it would've been noisy and not relaxing during the day. No breakfast during our stay, as the cook isn't always in. This isn't mentioned on the booking page, and it does say free breakfast. No AC.

Relaxing, peaceful, serene.

Pros: The breakfast was absolutely delicious. There's a coffee/tea bar in the lodge, the views are stunning, the entire property has a calming ambience. Everything here allows you to feel at peace.

Pros: This place is incredible on so many levels. Do yourself a favour and spend a couple of nights at the Sentinel. Also, make sure to pre-arrange breakfast for one of your mornings.
