Really lovely stay, would stay again

Pros: Had a lovely homey feel to it, appreciated the additional shared kitchen facilities ( microwave, kettle, fridge and crockery) . Had some lovely extras included. Also very handy to town only one street back from Baker st.

Pros: The room location was great — clean, quiet, and convenient.

Cons: However, the central heating system was quite disappointing. It wasn’t turned on until around 12 midnight , and then kept switching on and off throughout the night, which made the room alternately too hot and too cold. I ended up catching a cold the next day, which really affected the experience.

Location, staff, comfort, atmosphere, character...the whole package.

Pros: Staff were excellent. One item came up and it was taken care of quickly. Staff also gave us a choice of two rooms. The room was as per the pictures and the bed was very comfy. I can't wait to stay there again. So comfortable and homey and the location was great. It was a quiet time of the year but it seemed like it would be reasonably quiet even in high season.

Cons: Someone forgot to finish cleaning the kettle and coffee machine but this may have been due to our room upgrade as we were originally booked in another room and changed upon arrival. It was corrected quickly so no big deal.

Pros: Great location. Right across from the Capitol theatre, and a block away from Baker St. Awesome patio

Pros: Nice feel about it. Very clean Reception staff very friendly and helpful Quiet Easy walk to town Parking at the back

Cons: Stair access was a bit of a pain but certainly do-able.

Pros: A nice and comfy hotel downtown Nelson. We had room marble which was great and had all it needs for a good stay. Hotel is close to the street with good restaurants. We loved the style of the house.

Cons: Nothing to complain. People having trouble with stairs should seek advise for room selection, although for the upper rooms there is a good entrance option from the back.

Great location and warm staff in a charming small hotel

Pros: The location was perfect. The patio in back was very comfortable. It was actually nice to have cable tv: we were able to catch our game one night :)

Cons: It was a little stuffy, the air conditioner was having a time keeping up. But it was remarkably warm for Nelson while we were there.

Our stay was a super pleasant comfortable treat!

Pros: We were in the Willow suite. My adult son joined us and used the pull out in the living room, which he said was very comfortable. The property is very nicely restored and well equipped . It is comfortable, has good linens, comfortable beds, is very clean and has unique little articles of decor without being cluttered. The best feature was the little sunroom at the front which appears to have been converted from a veranda. We were able to enter and exit through this entry rather than go through the lobby. On exit, there is a nice deck with outdoor furniture, where we had our self provided happy hour one day and breakfast the next.

Cons: Only one minor thing... the location of the (very adequate) bathroom requires whoever is occupying the pullout bed to go through the master bedroom. However, this wouldn't stop me from booking this suite again.

Pros: Great location close to downtown but quiet area. Spacious bedroom with a nice separate private sitting room. Very clean and large barhroom well stock. . Overall, we enjoyed it. Very close to the best coffee shop.

Cons: The bedroom lighting and the coffee provided could be improved.

Great location and good for 2 nights-probably would have struggled with more nights due to room size

Pros: Location was very good. Parking at the rear of the property was good. Patio area at the rear was a good idea, particularly as we had booked a very small room. Plenty of communal tea and coffee and use of a fridge was good too.

Cons: We had a small double room, which we did book, so no complaints there - but it was very small.
