Wonderful Experience
Pros: It was a beautiful experience! The location was amazing. The building is 108 years old and the history is felt throughout the space. We had breakfast and the food was very yummy and arrived hot. We ordered last minute and the staff was gracious and helpful.
Cons: The stairs! So many stairs! It was only difficult for me as my knees are struggling right now. So be aware if that is a concern. We were on the top floor, so many many stairs. Parking was also a challenge, we parked on the other side of the castle in residential parking on Joan Crescent as there were no spaces in the designated area for the B&B when we arrived back to the room.

When scheduled for medical attention at hospital or Cancer Clinic this is our go to home.
Pros: Mini Suite had everything you need . Little compact kitchen, cozy, clean. clean , lots of storage space, like lounge sitting room in center of Inn . Nicely decorated and appreciate some of the amenities
Cons: Loud motor noise during night interrupted sleep. Not certain if it was fridge or from a motor next door. Light switch for kitchen overhead lighting not readily visible as it is behind micro-wave. Slide micro wave over No reading light over bed . Suggest place one and good for navigating to W/C during night.

Old World Charm.
Pros: Return stay for us and will be back. Great location for two local theatres that we attend. Very clean, very comfortable, and full of old World charm plus they offer an inexpensive breakfast option.
Cons: NOTHING that affected us. But as is advertised. There is no lift, so guests with mobility problems should be aware, also what for us is a bonus but for others maybe not, there are no TVs in the rooms.

Elegant and memorable stay with a nice view of the castle next door!
Pros: The sitting room was nice in the evening to sit and play a board game or visit. The breakfast was also lovely and being able to help yourself to coffee and tea wsa also a nice touch.
Cons: It is an old place but so well taken care of. I found the room a little hot and it was too cold outside to open the window. Still, we will stay again and open a window next time.

Pros: We love the character of the Inn, the rich furnishings and it is inviting every time we stay. Always possible to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee. Friendly staff, every time we have visited.
Cons: We found the room quite warm and the comforter pretty heavy, which effected our sleep. Having a blanket to switch onto the bed would have been appreciated. That is a minor issue though and we would return again.

A little gem close to the Belfry Theatre
Pros: Stylish old character building in a lovely, quiet setting Excellent location for our overnight stay linked to a visit to the Belfry Theatre, as the Craigmyle is only a ten minute walk away. Our room was very comfortable as was the downstairs sitting room. Also, we took advantage of the breakfast that was available, which was very nice and inexpensive. We will be staying there again in the future.
Cons: Nothing that affected us as a couple but very elderly guests or anyone with mobility problems should take note that there is no lift and the property is on three levels.

A lovely property for a fair price.
Pros: The whole property was attractive and very clean. The lounge is lovely and decorated in period furniture and fabrics.
Cons: The lighting in the bathroom was too dim.

Pros: Everything was great except the complete lack of lighting outside in the evening. The entire property is basically pitch black and there are stairs and tripping hazards everywhere. This needs to be addressed immediately and could be a potential major legal issue. I recommend tall lampposts or spotlights!
