Tropicana Suite Hotel

Lovely experience. Nice views. Hospitable staff.

Pros: Staff was very warm and friendly. The lady at the front desk always greeted us nicely. Bonus was the location which was near all amenities.

Cons: We have no complaints. Everything was done well and justified the pricing. We will recommend this place and hopefully stay here again when we visit.

Was reasonably priced compared to other hotels.

Pros: Right on Robson so close to shopping and food. Close to Rogers arena. Had a kitchen and a separate bedroom. Staff was great.

Loved it.

Pros: The top floor flat is tired and dated, but we really liked it and would have stayed longer than our 3 nights. Everything worked, the location was excellent, the outlook was cool, and it was very comfortable. I understand it might not appeal to those liking new everything, but we loved it.

Cons: I get there was quite a bit that some travellers would criticise about this flat etc - it is tired and dated etc, be a good list. But we liked it so much I can't find fault! Perhaps the constant smell of legal skunk coming up from below - shut the door.

Loved staying at the Tropicana!

Pros: Fantastic experience. Staff were super friendly, keen to help in any way. Shout out in particular to Carlos who helped us. Although a little dated, the rooms were clean and had the bonus of the kitchen. Location couldn't be better and best value by a long way compared to all the other Hotels in downtown Vancouver. I would highly recommend this Hotel for all of the above reasons. Thank you for such a fun time at the Tropicana! (plus free parking)

Great location

Pros: Location was excellent. Within walking distance of cruise centre and tour pick-up. My room included a kitchen, with microwave. Staff were friendly and helpful. There was a nearby IGA supermarket.

Pros: Location location location! Right in rhe heart of downtown on Robson st the main shopping strip, close to wholefoods, short 10 min walk to waterfront. Older seventies style property but if you looking for great location at a 3rd of the price of other hotels then tropicana is for you!

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel.

Pros: I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. We were pleasantly surprised when our room was upgraded to a suite. The staff was friendly, the room was spacious and clean, and the location was perfect. I would definitely stay here again!

Pros: I was injured during our holiday and the staff were so accommodating and helpful. It's not the flashest place in Van West but it's undoubtedly the most spacious and helpful. I'll always stay here as long as it exists.

Cons: The furnishings, with the exception of the beds, wete last upated in the 80s. So if that sort of thing matters to you, stay elsewhere. The beds do the job, and I'm pretty picky about beds and sleeping. Having a separate kitchen and sitting room is so much better than being stuck in a tiny hotel room.

As good as they get for the value and cost

Pros: Within its price range and allocation, it’s a very good hotel. Not everything works perfectly come up with the staff go away above expectation to help.
