Buffalo Mountain Lodge

Pros: We didn’t use the fireplace in the room, but it was a nice thing to have. It was a comfortable stay, and the hot tub was great.

Cons: Not the closest to the high street, slightly off the beaten path, but there are buses or you could do the 30+ min walk.

Pros: Loved the rooms with a fire, plenty of firewood and reset each day. The room was so clean, bed was so comfy, the view was awesome and when a fuse blew we hade maintenance fix it with about 5 minutes. I felt very luxurious for us to be staying in such a lovely location.

Cons: King room was lovely except the access was difficult when carrying cases through the cars that were parked in the way. 2 Queen room was a little cluttered and had a bath/shower which was a bit tricky for an older person. No washing facilities or at least an airer in the room so we could've handwashed clothes in the basin and dried in the room would have been great. Lastly the restaurant meal was excellent the first night, 5 star rating. However the next time it was busy and the food was nowhere near as well cooked and disappointed our expectation. The wait staff were great except one person who insisted that I must've had an old menu when ordering a bottle of wine, which I had ordered the night before, which is what I told her. She didn't bother to check with the bar so I had go up to the bar myself to check the wine and of course they did have it, just thought that was what the wait staff should be doing (guy at the bar was great though) These things are only little things as on the whole we loved staying at your Lodge with staff from reception to cleaning always friendly and helpful.

Cons: Parking is a bit of an issue

Lovely little Lodge.

Pros: The room was amazing, stunning views of the mountains, under floor heating, very comfortable bed. The reception and bar was only a short walk to the room which was easy to find and well directed. The staff was extremely pleasant, the bar and restaurant was lovely. I didn't eat but the cocktails was delicious.

Pros: The lodges are beautiful. So warm and cosy and a great size. They're also super quiet. The staff were really helpful on checking in and the cleaning staff that visited the room were super helpful every day. We had everything we could have needed in the room and plenty of firewood for the fires in the room. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was great with a decent shower/ bath. There is a bus stop into town directly across the road from the accommodation which was also super handy for getting into town and also great parking facilities.

Cons: There was plenty of parking but it was a bit of a free for all. It would have been better if spaces had been assigned to specific rooms as there was a few times we struggled to find a space and they were quite far from our lodges. On arrival we had to pay $100 per night deposit which was quite expensive. Thankfully we had no issues getting this back but it just seemed like quite a shock. We had 2 rooms booked and my brother had to front this as they only accepted credit card/ cash. Which in total was $1000. I feel like this could have been highlighted upon booking.

Pros: This lodge was exceptional! From the staff to views and location to minor details in the room. Would stay here again

Cons: Would have liked a microwave in the room but not a biggy.

Cons: The room was quite cold, even after the fireplace and heater. Also the price was far more then I would expect
